Before we started blogging we'd never heard of a link or linky party so if you are not familiar with them, you are not alone. The virtual parties are typically hosted on a weekly basis by one or a group of bloggers. Other bloggers then join adding in their most recent or favorite posts. For the hosting blogger it's a great way to encourage people to visit your site each week. For participating bloggers it's a great way to share the posts you've written and maybe even be "featured" by the party the following week, which helps to get more people to see your posts. And for non-bloggers, it's a buffet of amazing posts from all over the world on any topic you may be interested in: recipes, crafts, parenting, family life, product reviews, blogging tips, you name it.
There are so many fantastic Link Parties that we've discovered and love to join each week (or as often as we can). For three months we even had the opportunity to co-host one of the biggest parties around, the #HomeMattersParty. Some parties are nice and small (about 50 posts- these are usually the more focused ones like crochet or yarn-arts parties) and others get huge (over 600 posts linked up each week!). We're organized them below based on days of the week they go live. Check them out for all of your crafting, recipe, blogging and lifestyle needs!
- Snickerdoodle Sunday -
- Meet Up Monday - Quintessential Mommy
- Hookin on Hump Day - Petals to Picots (yarn-arts focus)
- Linky Ladies Community Link Party - The Purple Poncho (yarn-arts focus)
- Link and Share Wednesday - Oombawka Design (yarn-arts focus)
- Wordless Wednesday - Oh My Heartsie Girl
We are constantly looking for great parties to join and add to the list so leave us a comment below if we've missed any. Also, do let us know if you have trouble finding any of the parties we've listed above.
